Saturday, March 11th marked the 1st anniversary for Steamers Restaurant located in Southern Shores. To celebrate, Linda and Chris invited the community to join in celebrating from 3-5pm with free appetizers, drink specials and music. As huge fans of Steamers we were quick to mark our calendars and Linda and Chris did not disappoint. We arrived a little before 3 to a warm welcome and were quickly seated in the “living room” with drinks headed our way. The apps started flowing with ribs, pork & slaw sliders, salsa, bruschetta, crostinis and all the yummies. It was a large turn out with a number of their Corolla fans making the trek south and we certainly understand why.
Have we mentioned how much we love Steamers? What’s not to love? Steamers is located in Southern Shores Crossing near our home, they serve consistently awesome food and provide top-notch customer service. Since the doors opened last year, we’ve been welcomed with a warm smile and huge thank you each time we stop in. Steamers offers that small-town, local restaurant feel where people remember your name and are happy to be there. So now you get the feeling – slowed down, warm and welcoming…now the food. Over the past year we tried most menu items, here are a few of our favorites – shrimp & lobster salad, angus burgers, lobster, steamed clams, seafood bisque, crab cakes, tuna specials, cordon bleu, ribs and don’t forget dessert. It’s all good.
Steamers is a place where southern hospitality exceeds your expectations and so does the food. Cheers to Linda and Chris, here’s to many more years!
