 Matt Myatt’s team helped us buy our first beach home in the OBX. Adam Houff was our contact person. He patiently showed us house after house on a cold, rainy, and windy day in December. He was aware that we were intending to rent out our home and wanted to find a place that would, at the very least, be cash-even at the end of the year. Adam knows the area and provided us with the rental prospects for each of the houses we toured. Ironically, we ended up deciding to buy the house we were renting while we were there. It turned out to be the best decision. Adam helped us through the complicated process of permits and inspections and property management companies that are endemic to the OBX. He was outstanding. If we end up buying another property here in the OBX, we’ll definitely reach out to Adam Houff and Matt Myatt.

Jason was great to work with throughout the entire process of purchasing a home. He was extremely patient as our requirements were constantly changing and as he showed us many, many properties. He shared a lot of great information about the area that helped in our search. He was easy to reach and always responded sooner than expected. Jason got our offer accepted in a multiple offer situation and then kept us on track all the way to closing. If we’re ever looking to buy again in the Outer Banks, we’d turn to Jason in a heartbeat.

Jason has been so wonderful to work with! We “randomly” found him when searching for a realtor as we started the process to buy our first beach house in Outer Banks, North Carolina. After reading his bio online we figured we’d reach out and connect with him because he seemed like such a great and personable guy. Jason was kind enough to take us on a handful of tours throughout homes in the area while we were down in the Outer Banks for vacation. He was always so willing to answer our questions and share his opinion and advice. Even when we asked him to tour the most obscure homes, he was happily willing to do so. It turned out that together we came across a plot of land that my husband and I loved and we decided to put an offer in. Jason was super quick and efficient with getting our offer in and helping us negotiate with the seller. Ultimately our offer was accepted, and we just closed on the land last week! We are now about to start the process of building our dream beach house with Jason by our side. Jason has been absolutely wonderful as we’ve been working on narrowing down which builder we would like to help build our dream beach house. I have only wonderful things to say about Jason and would recommend him to any of my friends and family who were looking to buy a beach house in Outer Banks as well. Speaking of which I have actually already recommended Jason to one of my family members!! Thank you, Jason!!!

Our agent, Allysa Miller, helped us purchase a wonderful home in Hertford, NC on the Albemarle Sound. We searched for our home online and when we were ready to see the home and have our questions answered Allysa made it all so easy. She was very responsive and knowledgeable, and was always extremely pleasant to deal with. After completing the purchase of our home, Allysa then helped us to buy the vacant lot next door. I don’t know if there are enough stars here to properly evaluate Adam. I had never met him in person and still to this day do not know how I was referred to him, but I am sure glad we found him. He worked with us to buy our dream home 10hrs away through COVID. We actually didn’t meet until the deal was 90% done and pending walkthrough. Throughout the process, he was on point all the time and went above and beyond to make things happen when we were restricted from getting there. There is not one single item we could have asked for him to improve upon. He looks out for you the entire way, is a taskmaster and nothing slips between the cracks. He also is fantastic at connecting you with the right people to help get things done in the area when needed. He also is not pushy at all, he repeatedly checked with us to make sure we were “comfortable” with every decision we needed to make. I am confident that Adam would be successful in any field he ever decided to go into (although I think he’s found his calling!!).
